This is my first post on our company blog, I just want to explain to those who don’t know us who we are and what we will be doing here. I wish you a good read.

So, who are we?

Let me make the introductions. My name is Nicolas Alpi and I’m a Ruby on Rails/javaScript developer. I’ve been freelancing for most of my working life. First in France, before moving to England in 2008. I have been a PHP developer for several years (started in PHP3 at the time, gosh that’s old!) then came across Ruby in 2006 and never looked back.

I’m now specialised in the quick development of web applications, embracing the Lean Startup movement. And I love it.

I didn’t move to England on my own though. I took Nathalie with me (or rather she took me with her). She is a smart and funny woman and bakes cookies like no one else. She is now my wife and the co founder of the company, working on the web marketing for We Also Do Cookies and our clients. So far, it’s the best move ever: once an app or a website is released, I know I have someone to follow up the project and help our client maximize their investment. Fantastic!

What to expect from this blog?

We want to share our views on various aspects of the business, from development tips, to marketing article, to news of the day. We’ll also use it to write case studies and to talk about our own projects.

We know that maintaining a blog is hard, but we’ll do our best to keep everyone entertained.

Why the name “We Also Do Cookies”?

Because we bring a box of Nathalie’s home-baked cookies when we meet clients or potential clients for the first time. So why not contacting us to arrange a meeting?
