The Crumbs Awards have been created by the team behind the local indie food magazine of the same name. Although only in their first year, they’ve already gained recognition from businesses and media in and around Bristol and Bath. They were created to celebrate the amazing food scene in the SouthWest, and recognise the people behind it. The awards include plenty of categories – from Food and Drink supplier to Front of House Hero – which have been designed to bring the whole of the industry together and help build relationships between the specialisms that play a part in our local food economy.
Crumbs is all about praising the area’s awesome food and drink culture and creating noise around the people and businesses which make the local scene one of the best in the UK. So it’s quite fitting that our wonderful client GoodSixty are in the running for a trophy! They have been shortlisted for the ‘Best Newcomer’ category.
GoodSixty share the same ethos as Crumbs as they encourage and make it easier than ever to ‘shop local’. Their aim is to help create wealthier, better-connected communities by making independent food stores more accessible, by connecting people with hidden gems, micro producers and the best independent retailers near where they live or choose to visit.
Consumer demand for better, ethical, convenient food is at an all-time high, and GoodSixty understand the positive impact that shopping locally has on neighbourhoods – it gives money back to the local economy and strengthens communities. GoodSixty champions its High Street Heroes, giving customers the chance to shop more conscientiously and conveniently through its web application.
We’re so proud of GoodSixty for making it as a finalist – they truly deserve it. Good luck team!
