Afterwards, you’ll be shown how to avoid the UK IoT disaster. The Internet of Things is a growing phenomenon across the globe, with companies such as Imagination Technologies placing big bets on it becoming “the next big thing”. Come along and discuss the significant problems arising from IoT that are facing UK industry and, more crucially, education. Look at some of the potential impacts of these and what will be required to avoid them.

The first evening will involve presentations from the invited charities followed immediately by a party to get everyone well mixed. This will give all of the participants a chance to meet each other and begin discussing projects with the organisation representatives and think about which project they want to spend the weekend working on.
On the Saturday, DataDivers will choose which organisation they’d like to work with and form teams around their individual project questions. Each organisation will have Data Ambassadors assigned to them who will help advise on and manage the projects throughout the day.
The final day will give you the chance to show the charities what you have done with their data. These presentations can be single or group work, but they can be no longer than 10 minutes each.
The Github repository can be found [here](https://github.com/DataKind-UK). You’re not obliged to stay the entire weekend to participate in the event. Neither do you have to work with the same organisation for the whole weekend. You should bring your own laptop and come ready to use whatever data tools you like. Have fun!
Monday 7th December – 7pm – Llandoger Trow, King Street, Old City, Bristol, BS1 4ER

If you’re not one for public speaking, be sure to pop along to meet your fellow entrepreneurs or to offer support and advise to others. Presentations will be 3-4 minutes long and followed by a short Q&A / brainstorming session.
