Bristol Digital Week 2015 will shortly be upon us, as it aims to celebrate Bristol’s tech industry and explore all the opportunities that digital brings. We’ll be helping out with a number of workshops and can’t wait to get involved!
Cookies love spreading the digital love. We have mentored women and girls at Rails Girls Bristol and Code First: Girls and are always looking for ways to encourage even more people to get into programming. So when Simpleweb asked Cookies for help with running a Rails shop aimed at kids, of course we said yes!
On Saturday 7th February, Simpleweb and Cookies will be running the ‘Introduction to Building Web Applications’ and ‘Building Web Applications Using Ruby on Rails’ workshops. Young folk can learn all about coding and experience building their first app with Ruby on Rails.
Both workshops are free and encourage kids as young as 12 years old to attend.
