We started working with Card Nest way back in 2014. Since then we’ve overseen three version launches, tons of new functionality and a complete site redesign.
Here’s why Card Nest’s latest launch is better than ever – and how we’ve helped them every step of the way.
Card Nest started out as a simple idea – a stylish greetings card subscription service that would ensure you always had the perfect card to hand.
CookiesHQ were brought in early on in Card Nest’s development. Working to a tight deadline, we took Card Nest from an initial concept to a fully functional MVP. Oli and David were thrilled with the result, and began to call on us for all their web development needs.
‘From the moment we started working with CookiesHQ I knew that we had found an invaluable partner. ‘– Oli Gosling, co-founder of Card Nest
After gathering feedback from customers and securing investment, founders Oli and David entrusted us to start work on Card Nest version two.
Their most asked-for feature was the ability for subscribers to select the cards they wanted to receive each month. So we got to work designing a system that would allow users to customise their ‘nest’ by logging in and choosing specific cards from a carefully curated selection.
We also created an entire separate e-commerce shop so that customers would be able to buy individual cards or sets.
‘Expertly knowledgeable, logical and cool-headed… I can’t recommend Nic and the team highly enough. ‘– Oli Gosling, co-founder of Card Nest
V2 was a resounding success and as Card Nest learned and grew, so did we. We discovered how much we enjoy long-term collaborations – watching a startup grow from an idea into reality and sharing in a founder’s joy each time a launch goes well.
We know the ins and outs of Card Nest’s platform and business model as well as anyone, so when they approached us to build version three at the end of last year, we were ready.
Launched Febuary 2019, V3 is a complete style refresh. The site is simpler, sleeker – and faster. New subscriptions options have been added, giving the subscriber even more flexibility. The UI is less busy and more elegant.
Over the years, we’ve come to enjoy working with the Card Nest team more and more. Together, we’ve built a relationship grounded in trust, openness and honesty.
We’re proud of the role we’ve played in Card Nest’s success and look forward to seeing what they’re capable of in the future.
